Media Association for Social Service (MASS)

Media Association for Social Service (MASS) is a group of journalists, writers, and social workers. It has a strong network of like-minded people across many states in India.

MASS uses mass media as a powerful tool to bring positive change in society. The organization works with social groups and government bodies in areas like education, health, environment, voter awareness, investor education, and other public awareness programs.

Area of Operations
MASS is a network of mainstream journalists. It is an independent and self-motivated team dedicated to social welfare through media and communication strategies.

Our main goal is to encourage, educate, and empower society using all forms of media. We work in both print media and digital (internet) media.

Our Members
MASS members work in many media fields, including newspapers, television and radio broadcasting, book publishing, magazines, websites, mobile platforms, social media, and public relations agencies.

They work in different roles such as reporting, writing, photography, editing, designing, videography, communication, and presenting.

Some members also work for non-media companies as PR officers, website editors, and social media managers.

About 54% of our members are full-time staff, and around 46% are freelancers. Our members include students starting their media careers as well as retired professionals.

Our Vision
Media plays an important role in both social and personal life. Society depends on mass media for information and awareness. Media is often called the fourth pillar of democracy because it has the power to influence and guide public opinion.

At MASS, we aim to understand and strengthen the role of media in public policy, democracy, and good governance.
